[Oh hon. Jessie sure won't fight the squeeze. She exhales resting her head against his, offering some comfort.]

It brings a lot of them in too, kids. I mean... apparently Sodder's a kid, so it makes sense she'd bring folk her own age here even by accident. But it's still awful to see so many of them getting hurt, and there's not a whole lot any of us can do about it.

Here's hoping. Eventually, I'm sure they'll find where she's being kept. You're right, though. We just gotta hope they won't take it out on her. Ain't her fault.

[he's glad she can't see his face, because buzz doesn't look very certain about anything jessie's just said. he's seen how much people hate being here, he doesn't trust them not to direct their fury at an easy target. he doesn't doubt manipulation wouldn't happen.

[He should be very glad she can't see him. She'd start pointing out the scrunchy eyebrow again. Jessie wants to cling onto the hope that just once, maybe, people can not be The Worst. Because she likes the people she's met here, she wants to believe the best in them. Even if it's...likely misplaced, something even she's aware of.

Of course, she'd do what she could to make a difference, because like hell is she ever going to stop kicking and fighting once she's decided she believes in something. Hell hath no fury like Jessie Pride.]
